“Hackjammer” is a mechanistic jack stomp through the buzzing wires and fried circuitry of post-planetary destruction, while “Pride Before” throws in some dirty swing and smashing bass to achieve the sonic effect of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.
Andrei Morant steps up his groove game with a seriously deep take on “Pride Before”, stripping down the beats and turning everything into an emotive “sunrise over the space station” kind of feel. Or maybe it’s a “last day of Earth’s existence” feel. Either way, it’s quite nice.
